5th World Naginata Championships Results

The 5th World Naginata Champs, held in Himeji, Japan on the 3rd of July, 2011.

The biggest upset of the day was KW Editor-in-chief Alex Bennett defeating the current All Japan men’s champion, Itagaki, 1-0 in the semi-finals, before falling to Tanaka of Japan in a hard-fought final. It is the highest finish in the men’s individuals for a non-Japanese since Alex took 3rd place in a previous world champs.
